A Path towards a Brighter Future through BYLC

Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC), the country's first leadership institute, exists for building connections among youth from diverse socio-economic and demographic backgrounds, equip them with leadership skills, while enabling them to have high impact in public, private, and civil sectors. BYLC has launched their Building Bridges Through Leadership Training 28 (BBLT 28) for Chittagong region. BBLT is one of BYLC's leadership training programs designed to combine Harvard University courses and educational models. Students develop their leadership skills through analytical thinking while becoming useful in the role of positive change in society. In the first phase of the program, students carry out experiments, take challenges, and question deeply held assumptions in the online classes. In the second phase, students have the opportunity to translate their learning into action by implementing community service projects using online platform about social issues in our community. It can be said that BBLT creates leaders in order to solve problems in our community who can make difference in the society.  Some things to keep in mind while applying for BBLT program:
By participating in the BBLT program, through online classes the participants will gain the following skills:
  1. Public speaking
  2. Active citizenship 
  3. Teamwork
  4. Patience and compassion
  5. Problem-solving
  6. Professional skills development
  7. Social service 
Eligibility Criteria for Applying to the BBLT Program:
  1. Students studying in HSC/ Alim/ A-Levels or first/second-year undergraduate students
  2. Can commit attendance from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm, five days a week from August 9, 2020–October 1, 2020 
  3. Participants must be able to attend the online classes during the training 
  4. Willing to work on implementing online social projects for 3 weeks as part of the program
Application Process and Admission Rules:
All interested applicants must complete the application form. After the initial screening of the application forms (round 1), the shortlisted applicants will be invited for an online written test and interview (round 2). Final Selected Applicants will have the opportunity to register in the program.  
  1. All final participants will be selected on the basis of merit and selected participants will receive a full scholarship on tuition fee, for this, they do not have to pay any tuition fees
  2. Due to the financial crisis caused by the Corona virus, the final participants will have to pay a reduced registration fee of Tk. 4,000 instead of Tk. 6,000 at the time of registration. However, need-based financial aid will be provided to a limited number of students
  3. At any time, BYLC reserves the right to change or amend the admission rules, program fees, curriculum, rules of conduct and any information or content referred to through the website or social media
  4. By completing this application, the applicant agrees with the admission policy

Class Time: Sunday through Thursday from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm
